The NORITZ NRC66DV is a fully condensing tankless water heater with an advanced heat exchanger design and built-in controller. With flow rates up to 6.5 gallons per minute the NRC66DV delivers the highest flow rates in its category and can be vented using 3″ Schedule 40/80 PVC, PP or CPVC.  Various adapters and terminations are available to allow for a wide array of venting options.  This unit ships complete with a 6′ power cord.  IK-WV-200-1-XX-LF valve kit (required for installation) is sold separately. Common companion items include rain cap (PRC-1), atmospheric conversion kit (SVCK-3) and horizontal termination/intake PVT-HL.

The electronic gas control valve incorporates an LED status indicator that monitors system operation and service diagnostics. Gas control located within hot water heater uses a thermopile to generate the power needed to operate the electronic gas control without requiring an external power source. What is Hydronic Expansion?
Hydronic expansion tanks are diaphragm type tanks designed to keep system pressures below relief valve settings. Hydronic expansion tanks absorb the expansion of water in residential or commercial hydronic (forced hot water) heating and cooling systems. Without hydronic expansion tanks, the system will quickly over-pressurize resulting in added stress to the various system components. Hydronic expansion tanks protect safety valves from failing or wearing out quickly, avoids valve stem and ball seal leaks, prevents wasted BTU’s and vastly extends water heater life.
