About the Model Kit
Hasegawa creates their take of the Hawker Typhoon with the JT60 Hawker Typhoon Mk.IB with Teardrop Canopy on 1/48th scale. Conceived as a fighter interceptor to supersede the Hurricane and Spitfire, the Typhoon became famous as a low level ground attack aircraft. This was thanks to it’s heavy cannon armament and ability to carry up to 2000lbs of bombs or 8 rocket projectiles. The Typhoon was powered by a unique H-configured 24 cylinder Napier-Sabre engine rated at over 2,000 horsepower. The version in this kit is the late Mk.Ib with the teardrop canopy. Highly detailed model kit includes waterslide decals and illustrated instructions.

The A-4M was developed as a stopgap next-generation ground support aircraft to replace the U.S. Marine Corp’s aging A-4, with the first production aircraft flying in April 1970.
